Final 2023 PLL Mock Draft

Round 1

#1. Atlas (via cannons): thomas mcconvey (Midfield - virginia)

There's been rumblings that McConvey will be the selection over Handley (shades of Wisnauskas over Gray or Teat over Sowers), and the more you think about it, the more sense it would make. McConvey doesn't need to have the ball in his stick to thrive, and would make a dangerous pair with Jeff Teat in the two-man game.

#2. redwoods: sam handley (Midfield - Upenn)

While Coach St. Laurent has hinted about a possible trade out of #2 overall, I have a hard time believing he will pass on a prospect like Handley. In fact, the Redwoods are probably the best landing spot for Handley as a ball-dominant player.

#3. Atlas: gavin adler (Defense - Cornell)

Coach Pressler gets his top choice of offensive midfielder at #1 and now top defender in Adler at #3, which is no change from last mock draft. Adler is one of the safest picks in this draft.

#4. Chrome: Brett Makar (Defense - maryland)

I think the Chrome will opt defense, but have no clue who they might take. So let's just keep Makar here.

See above, which applies for the Archers and Bowen as well.

#6. Whipsnakes: matt campbell (midfield - villanova)

I thought about putting Dordevic here, but I think the pick remains Campbell. He would be a great fit in the offense as a rangy shooter.

This just feels like a Coach Towers pick. No change.

The defending champions end Dordevic's 'slide'. He's an electric playmaker that could make a similar impact like Jack Hannah in his rookie year.
